Elizabethtown Church of Christ Youth Group

Activities:

The youth group here at the Elizabethtown church of Christ is involved in many different activities throughout the year. Here is a sample of some of the activities that we are involved in.

Spiritual Activities:

Throughout the year we are involved in many different spiritual activities. On a weekly bases we meet once a week to Search and Reason through Scriptures (SRS). We also have monthly devotionals that are hosted at different members houses. In addition, we attend youth rallies such as CYC, RUSH, Evangelism University, Ethridge Youth Rally, Sonshine Youth Rally, and the Richmond Youth Rally and the BibleQuest in Madisonville, KY. During the summers our youth group attends summer camp. We attend Western Kentucky Youth Camp, and Horizons.

Service Activities:

In addition to spiritual activities the youth group here at Etown is involved with helping others. The youth group here has a program called POSSibilities. This program is a program of sacrificial service that opens possibilities for the teenagers who are looking to serve others as well as making things possible for those being served. Some of the things that the possibilities program does is it sends cards to those who visit our congregation, the sick, grieving, those who we have missed at services lately, as well as birthday cards, and congratulations cards. There are also times that we go visit the shut-in, sick, or even give visits of encouragement. Possibilities also opens the door to make it possible for the teenagers involved to help senior citizens, those who have been sick, and other individuals who need things done around their house. Possibilities also helps out around the church building when needed.

Social Activities:

There are also times in which it is good for the teenagers to have fun and fellowship with one another. The youth group has a Teen Night Together (TNT) once a week. This activity consist of the teens going out to eat, having a devotional, and then having a fun activity. Other social activities that we are involved in consist of large trips such as going to a baseball game, LOCK-IN's and even just hanging out at things like Movie Nights.
